Piero Passacantando created six 10in x 10in acrylic paintings to be sent to six different painters. Each painter is to add something to each painting, and then send it to someone else. This blog is a tool to keep track of their locations, movements and changes.
These works "grow" organically and unpredictably over the years through the work of multiple authors. This process has interesting implications in terms of ownership and authorship. Who do the paintings belong to, and who is the creator? Also, is their "main" life in the documentation through this blog? Or is it in the actual relationship of each painter to these objects? Both?
